Navigation Editor
The navigation editor is for more advanced users. The function will be to edit the way the navigation is displayed and adding custom links and submenu's to the navigation
Adding Custom Links
Adding links is the most easy action On the left of the page you will find a block called Add Custom Link. The first inputbox will be the displayed title The second Inputbox will be the link the title points to. Now click Add Link and its added to the navigation menu
Adding Submenus
To add a Submenu Enter the title of the menu in the ADD Submenu box Then click Add Submenu Once done click EDIT on any link you wanna put into the submenu Then under Nav item location select the submenu you just created and click save.
Fixing Urls after community name change
The links in the navigation might be invalid when you changed the community name. To fix this there is a button called Refresh Navigation. This will automatically fix all generated navigation links to match your current community name and webadress. When using a custom domain the links remain the same as the custom domain is a second accesspoint so they will use the old linkages dont forget to refresh when you changed your community name even when using a custom domain
Editing Navigation links
Changing names
To change the name of a link click EDIT beside the navigation item Now change the NAVIGATION ITEM TITLE and click SAVE CHANGES
Changing URL's
You can only change urls for CUSTOM links you added yourself Generated links from modules cannot be changed. To change your custom url click EDIT beside the navigation item Now change the URL box to your liking and click SAVE CHANGES to confirm
Nav Item Location
This is used to move the navigation item to submenus if you have them The default (not in a submenu) is TOP
Nav item order
This is to sort the navigation the lower the number the higher in the list it will get. For the default navigation the lower the more left the item is. For submenus the lower the higher the item will be. For example Navitem1 will be on 2 and Navitem2 will be on 1. Then Navitem2 will be the first and Navitem1 will be the second
Deleting Navigation items.
This can only be done for submenus and Custom links. Click EDIT next to the nativation item to remove Then click the RED button called Delete Item. To remove module related items disable the module that uses the link.
